Sue and Ivan were drawn to the Duet plan for its open-plan design and the practicality of a single-story layout. The concept of a unified living space, where the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas seamlessly blend, perfectly matched their vision for a home built around family and togetherness.
Like all Landmark Homes plans, the Duet offers the option of customisation to fit the homeowners’ wants and needs. Visiting the Landmark Showhomes and a nearby Duet build in progress helped the couple decide on options for their own build.
Sue and Ivan opted to remove one of the bedrooms which allowed them to have more space in the other bedrooms. They also added a kitchen scullery and expanded the size of the garage, ensuite, and master wardrobe. And, by reducing the size of the hallway and adjusting the wall partitions in the lounge, they achieved an even more fluid and inviting open-plan living area, enhancing the sense of openness and connectivity within the home.
Working together with the Landmark Homes Taupō team meant Sue and Ivan could make these changes while still keeping their project within their level of investment. This adaptability ensured that their dream home not only met but exceeded their expectations, embodying the perfect blend of personalisation, quality, and value.
